Jill J. Miller
Jill Mathews Miller, 53, passed away peacefully Thursday November 8, 2007, after a lengthy battle with Cancer. She was born June 28, 1954 to Charles and Marie Mathews in Fraser, MI. She met and later married her husband, Eugene Miller of Guy, TX, while serving in the US military overseas.
She was an active member of the Needville Bluejay Booster Club and was always willing to help anyone who needed her assistance. Thoughts of others always came before thoughts of herself.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene, and four children: Nicky Jernigan and husband Matt of Guy, Dawn Miller and Fiancé Paul Charanza of Needville, Stacy Miller of Guy and BJ Miller of College Station, her mother Marie Mathews of Fraser, MI, Sisters Nancy Mathews of Escanaba, MI, Judy Lapak and husband Jim of Shelby Township, MI, Tracey Fish and husband Brian of Bloomfield Twp, MI, and brother Charles Mathews, Jr. and wife Mona of Sterling Heights, MI as well as numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles “Bill” Mathews and niece, Jennifer Kless.
In her typical giving spirit, Jill decided that she wanted to donate her body to medical research to help a future student learn more to help others in need. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 12, 2007, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.
